Description: Hardiest pear. White spring blossoms, long thorns and glossy green foliage turning orange in fall. Small, yellow fruit are used for preserves. Cross-pollinate with another pear for consistent yields. Resistant to fireblight. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil.

Planting Instructions:

  • dig hole twice the size of the pot
  • put in 1/2 cup to 1 cup bone meal mixed in with dirt
  • place tree into hole, fill in with dirt (ensure the graft site remains above the soil)
  • fertilize once a year in spring
